SnowPowColypse and SwallowTail

Central Oregon got the full effect of El Nino and got hammered with the white stuff.  After letting the 3+ft of snow settle, it was time to go play....We headed up to Tummy and were treated to some amazing views until a little cloud cover (and strong winds) blew in.  

I took the swallowtail split out for its inaugural ride and had fun learning how it handled in the deep goods.  Good day out!

Let's Get It Started...let the snow FLY!

The snow season in Central Oregon started out with a BANG!  We got a big snowfall in town and the pounding just kept at it in the high country.  As always, there was a collective chomping at the bit to get the winter toys out and play.

The split board came out and the winter adventures started...well, after shoveling the driveway....

The recent full moon on Christmas provided for a spectacular sunrise...nice way to drink coffee and get the day started!

Halloween CX

Sunday's events were the big finale to the CX festivities in the Deschutes Brewery area...the costumes did not disappoint - the winner was definitely the giraffe - dude had it going ON!

Cross Crusades rolled into town this past weekend...I managed to get super lucky on position for the start but then managed offset all that luck with a flat at the end of lap #2!  doh!

Erin did great, managed to avoid flats and finished her race....day 1 pix below....day 2 lay in store and it was costume day - updates on next post.
